Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-04-15. Closed-beta terms. Expanded before any public launch.
What Hearth is
Hearth is a coordination platform that connects dispatchers posting in-home pet euthanasia appointments with licensed veterinarians in the requested service area. Hearth does not provide veterinary care, medical advice, or payment processing. Vets deliver the care; Hearth is not a party to that professional relationship.
Your responsibilities
- Vets must hold a current, valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the jurisdiction where they deliver care. You are responsible for compliance with all applicable professional and regulatory requirements.
- Dispatchers are responsible for obtaining the customer’s permission before entering their name, phone number, and address into Hearth, and for confirming appointment details with the customer out of band.
- All users: keep your credentials secure, don’t share your account, and use the platform in good faith.
Beta status
Hearth is a closed beta. The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Expect bugs, downtime, and occasional data resets during this period. Don’t rely on Hearth as your sole system of record for appointments — keep your own copy of anything business-critical.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hearth, its operators, and its contributors are not liable for damages arising from use of the platform, including without limitation missed appointments, delivery failures, or data loss. Veterinary care is solely the responsibility of the licensed vet performing it.
Account termination
You can delete your account anytime from /account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe to be abusive.
